On the 25th, 26th and 27th of April, Bonar Law will be hosting its third annual ‘Bengals’ Night Out’; it will feature 41 students, all performing an array of music, from vocals to a percussion ensemble of 27 students. The students are from grades 9 – 12, with all four grades being well represented.
The Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to
accept film entries for the second annual Kin Film Festival. All School
District 16 students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted
in one of two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category (The Communities Greatest Need). The top 10
films in each category will be screened on May 12th, 2012 at Miramichi
Empire Studio 5. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for
the winners in each category.

This week BLMS will be celebrating regional heritage and culture in our 5th annual Heritage Fair. This fair will include 60 student projects, many community booths as well as performances in the theatre of traditional music and dance. There will be three different performance times throughout the morning, Wednesday, April 18th. The public is warmly welcomed to come and share this Fair with us.
The graduates are busy making final preparations for graduation and prom. On Sat. April 21 from 8-10am they will hold a community breakfast with a freewill donation at the door and everyone is welcome. This is taking place at the Clairville Hall on Route 465. They will also be selling 50/50 tickets and tickets on a Mother's Day basket. The grads would like to thank their supporters and the Clairville Rec. Council for the use of the hall. In -school they will be doing a Pizza Delight fundraiser next week as well as the tickets on the basket.
13 senior boys have been selected to represent NB at the Nike High School Grand Prix Track and Field event in Toronto. On May 12, 2012 over 250 student athletes from 10 provinces and territories will gather for a track and field experience like no other. Our boys are busy fundraising some of the amount they need to make this happen. If you would like to support our team you can do so by attending Trivia Night, Friday, April 13th at the Rexton Curling Club, starting at 9:00pm. Cost is $5 and teams of 6-8 are welcome, or come along and we'll put you on a team.

Bonar Law Memorial School is preparing for the 3rd Annual "Bengals' Night Out". The night will showcase a variety of musical talent on various instruments. Headliner for the evening will be Bonar Law's Percussion Group - Bengal Beats.This is how the evening is shaping up:The first half of the show is filled with music being performed on acoustic guitar, bass guitar, the ukele, piano, etc. It will be a mix of familiar tunes and songs the students have created themselves; guaranteed to put a smile on your face and get your toes tapping!During intermission there will be tea/coffee and homemade
