Tomorrow - June 22nd, you can hear Natasha Daigle and Vanessa Steinmann being interviewed on 106.1fm CBC radio station. The girls were interviewed by Kate Letterick on the topic of "Teens Against Drunk Driving". The interview airs at 6:30am; 7:30am and again at 8:30am
Report Cards will be available to be picked up from the Main Office -Thursday, June 21 - Thursday June 28th. Buses will only operate on June 21st, but students/parents will be able to drop by the school and pick up their report cards on those other dates. Reports will not be mailed to students at this time.
Members of the Senior Class started their final day of classes with a complimentary breakfast, served by various members of the staff. Recognizing that this day is often filled with various emotions, it was an opportunity for the students to spend some relaxed time with their peer group within the context of the school day. Grade 12's will be "special guests" at the Talent Show this afternoon and it is our hope that they will all choose to take part in this final afternoon. The annual BLMS Awards Ceremony is taking place on Tuesday, June 5th starting with a mix and mingle from 6:30-7:00 in the cafeteria. Dessert and refreshments will be served. The awards will begin at 7:00 in the gymnasium. This year we have over 100 students who are being recognized for excellence, be that academic or extra-curricular. The list is posted outside the main office in the lobby. Each student is allowed to invite two guests, and can pick up those invitations in the office from Mrs. Rodgers.
Reminder to all students that with the warmer summer weather upon us, we need to ensure that what we choose to wear to school is appropriate for school. Short shorts/skirts, muscle shirts, etc all have a place in our wardrobe ... but they are not suitable for the school setting. If you are in doubt, please ensure that you bring a second option to school incase you are asked to change. That will avoid having someone bring you a change of clothing.

The Forum for Young Canadians is an opportunity for you to meet with teens from across Canada to experience the richness of Parliament Hill while learning about the democratic process in Canada. Teachers will be distributing a mini-report card to each student in each class on TUESDAY, May 22nd. This will give students and their parents a quick snap-shot of progress to date. With thirteen classes remaining after the report, this will set the tone for the final push to the finish.
