The NB Department of Education and Early Childhood Development has created a new website for NB parents, teachers, support staff and organizations looking to support each student to succeed to their fullest potential in a positive learning environment. Check out the link at http://www.gnb.ca/0000/incl-e.asp
The Explore program offers Grade 11 and Grade 12 students, as well as post-secondary students, the opportunity to pursue their studies in their second official language over a five-week period during the spring or summer months at a number of institutions across Canada. Bursary recipients participate in a number of activities which allow them to improve their communicative competence in their second official language and to explore the culturally rich environment in which they are learning. In addition, participants meet others from across the country – a great way to create links!
Progress reports will be going home today. Students should have one sheet from each of their five classes. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the teachers via email (adresses available on the staff page of this web site) or at 523-7160.
Bengals Voices will be performing at the United Church in Rexton - December 14th and 15th @ 7:00pm. Admission is by a non-perishable food item for the local Food Bank. Hope to see you there!

On Friday, November 25th we hosted a very successful Fall Semi-Formal. Enjoying our best turn out for a dance this year, students danced the night away while raising over $900. for the Christmas Daddies program. Thanks to everyone who made this such an enjoyable evening.
Once again this year, BLMS students and staff will be involved in the annual food drive for our local food bank. The friendly competition is between grades within the school and between the staff of BLMS and EWG. Of course the real winners are those individuals and families that find it necessary to use the services of the food bank. The drive will run from Nov 21st to Dec 16th. Please get involved!
Students will be taking some time from their regular classes on November 10th to pause as a school and remember those men and women who served our country and provided us with the freedoms we enjoy today. We will be hosting Remembrance Day Celebrations at 8:40am, 9:50am and 11:05am. Parents are welcome to attend either of those celebrations.
