The Explore program offers Grade 11 and Grade 12 students, as well as post-secondary students, the opportunity to pursue their studies in their second official language over a five-week period during the spring or summer months at a number of institutions across Canada.  Bursary recipients participate in a number of activities which allow them to improve their communicative competence in their second official language and to explore the culturally rich environment in which they are learning.  In addition, participants meet others from across the country – a great way to create links!   For more information on the program, and to apply on-line, please consult the Explore website at www.myexplore.ca .  The application deadline is February 28, 2012.  (Please note that the actual application is done on-line).   If you have any further questions on the program, please do not hesitate to contact me at janet.bishop@gnb.ca  or see your guidance counsellor.   The Explore program is financed by the Department of Canadian Heritage and administered by Provincial Departments of Education in collaboration with the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada.
