The first annual community hockey game in memory of Kenny Sock was a huge success. It exceeded our expectations and brought together the school and surrounding communities to pay tribute to a wonderful man. $7840 was raised for mental health initiatives for students at Bonar Law and an additional $55000 was presented to Ms. Davis (Principal) by Wendy Sock in memory of Kenny from the Elsipogtog Education Authority for lunches for Elsipogtog students.
BLMS Staff and RCMP will take on the BLMS Student Team with a puck drop at 6pm! Admission is $5 with a canteen on site along with our very own Benji the Bengal Mascot! This evening of awareness is in memory of Kenny Sock. Kenny played on the BLMS Hockey team back in the 80's, was a strong supporter of all student's well being and an intricate part of our BLMS Staff for many years. He would be humbled by this tribute. We would like to fill the seats at the Kent North Imperial Center next Friday night. Please spread the word and plan to attend!
Online classes will begin for us on Monday. Teachers will be teaching online through Teams. Students have been prepared for this by classroom teachers.
Today it was our honor to meet the Mighty Max and let him know that he is holding a special place in the hearts of both students and staff at Bonar Law!

As you know, this year has been an exceptional challenge for everyone across our province, country and world. We are also aware that we have asked our students to be incredibly adaptable and resilient as restrictions on mask wearing, in-school learning and blended learning change from day to day. We want to take this opportunity to share our gratitude with our students. On June 9th and 10th , the four Anglophone School Districts will be holding Student Appreciation Day!
