Congratulations to the group from the World Issues class who raised more than $1800 for Doctors Without Borders in Syria with their coffee house. Thank you for the fantastic music from Alli Arsenault, Madison Girvan, Bev Theriault, Amber Cormier, Damien Tomah and Brodie Theriault.
EWG Foods will be serving their annual free turkey dinner on Wednesday, December 21st! Students who do not wish to have this meal should bring a lunch from home as there will be no other food served! Thank you to EWG Foods, the generous donations we received from local business, non-profits and staff members for making this tradition happen once again!
Mrs. Warman-Community School Coordinator for Rexton would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their generosity on Friday. The 1st Fill-our-bus campaign was a success with over $400 in monetary donations and a bus filled with food being donated to the local Food Bank! With the help of our student volunteers the chilly day spent outside was well worth it! With so many charities asking for donations and organizations trying to help the less fortunate, it was very humbling as a school community to see the support we received.
Students at BLMS will be supporting families and seniors in need with a FOOD DRIVE for the Kent County Food Bank on Friday, December 9th from 10-5pm at FOODLAND! Drop off a non-perishable food item at the bus! Your support is appreciated!
Report Cards and Parent-Teacher time! Parents are welcome to attend their child's parent/teacher evening and morning on Thursday, Nov. 17th from 4:30-7pm and again on Friday, Nov. 18th from 9-12pm. Report cards can be picked up in the office and teachers are availabe in the cafeteria and gymnasium to meet with you! There is no school for students on Nov. 18th.
Wednesday, November 2nd is Take Your Child to Work Day for students in grade 9! They were given permission slips to have signed and brought back to school. If your son/daughter is not going to work on Wednesday they are expected to be in school! This is not a "day off" for those that cannot find work placements! If you have any questions please feel free to contact the adminstration or guidance at 523-7160.
