The first annual community hockey game in memory of Kenny Sock was a huge success. It exceeded our expectations and brought together the school and surrounding communities to pay tribute to a wonderful man. $7840 was raised for mental health initiatives for students at Bonar Law and an additional $55000 was presented to Ms. Davis (Principal) by Wendy Sock in memory of Kenny from the Elsipogtog Education Authority for lunches for Elsipogtog students. Thank you to our sponsors, Kent Suicide Prevention Committe, Rexton Mental Health Committee, Campbell Health, Foodland, Cartier Coop, River of Fire Market, Country Liberty, and the Rangers Hockey Team. We would also like to thank the RCMP for helping make this such a success and for their members donation.
