In celebration of Coaches week you are invited to participate in a free session on how nutrition can have an direct impact on sport performance. The session is presented by CoachNB and will be facilitated by Natasha McLaughlin-Chiasson. Please find attached more information on presenter and session. It is important to note that this session is not only for coaches but also parents, children and any sport enthusiast that wishes to further their knowledge in sports. The session will take place Wednesday November 20th at 6:00pm in Rexton. It will be held at Eleanor W.
From November 12-29th EWG, RES, BLMS and Harcourt Elementary will be collecting bags of gently used clothing, sheets, towels, linens, curtains, boots, shoes, in support of a new partnership with the NB Association for Community Living. 2 ways to donate...#1 drop off your donations in garbage bags to BLMS Mon-Fri from 8-4pm or call any of the schools and someone will pick it up for you - BLMS is 523-7160 and ask for Judy or Cheryl. If we collect 200 bags it will mean $400 in support of literacy!
This month's recipients were awarded their certificates for either citizenship, academics or an improvement in their academics. The awards went to Aly Murphy, Austin Murphy, Austin Thompson, Bailey Sock, Chris Barnes, Darnel Poirier, Emma Babineau, Fabian Francis, Hallie McKay, Haley Warman, Kendra Milliea, Micah Carruthers, Nicole Sanderson, Ryan Daigle, Samantha Bernard, Shanayah Arsenault, Taylor John. Letters are also sent out each month to parents/guardians to encourage the students to keep up the good work and share their positive achievement.
Students who are planning on applying to NBCC please make sure you do so by the end of the week as the applicatons need to be there by Nov. 1st. Please see Mrs. Rodgers in the office to either pick up a copy of your transcripts to attach to your application or ask her to send them on your behalf. This also applies to any scholarship applications or any submissions where you are asked for a copy of your transcripts.
