Hello...sorry I haven't uploaded anything yet.  Here is our week in a nutshell: Sept. 24 Due: AOTW (250-350 words) marked for ideas and organization.  WTF & FRIDTM of Poe's The Raven. We will discuss AOTW tomorrow and Poe's poem. Sept. 24-26 we will spend on analyzing poetry, working in-class on your poetry assignments, looking at literary essay writing, and oral presentation skills.  During spare time, don't forget to WTF & FRIDTM all the poems in the packet.  Sept 27-new AOTW will be handed out and 1/2 reading period. Monday, Sept. 30:  Due: AOTW #2 and POETRY PRESENTATIONS!!!! (see attached)

Welcome to English 11-2! You have a little formal essay to write for me tonight.  This is so I can see your writing skills!  It's a 300-400 word essay on how you can ensure your success in English 11-2 this year.  Remember: it's formal--no contractions, personal pronouns, or slang.  Also, include a thesis statement in your introduction, body paragraphs which support your points, and a conclusion.  It's due tomorrow.   Bring in your parents' email addresses tomorrow!

Your Macbeth project is due on March 16th. Your paraphrase on Shakespeare's Theatres is due tomorrow...or you can email them to me so marks are not taken off.  Macbeth essays (rough drafts) are due April 2nd and the good copy is due April 16th.
