The school community will be recognizing those individuals and groups who have excelled during the 2009-2010 school year. The public is invited to attend this awards ceremony - Wednesday, June 9th @ 1:10pm in the school gym. Come out and help us acknowledge the many and varied moments of achievement that have occurred throughout this year.
Rebecca Flanagan a grade 9 student at BLMS will be performing with the Landry Dancers as part of the opening ceremonies at the World Jr. Track and Field Championship, July 19th, being held at the newly built track at UdeM. This event will host over 1200 athletes representing more than 120 countries and will be broadcast over 120 stations. This truly is a once in a lifetime experience for Rebecca and everyone at BLMS would like to congratulate her and wish her all the best.
Kirsten Flewelling a grade 11 student from Bonar Law Memorial designed the logo. for the paddle that Isaac Wilson a grade 8 student of Eleanor W. Graham carved from a piece of pine and SMART Technologies presented the City of Miramichi with the designation of SMART's first Showcase Community on June 1st, 2010 at the Rodd Miramichi. During the ceremony the paddle that was hand carved and painted was presented to a representative from the Dept. of Tourism. The paddle will travel to locations along the river that represent education, tourism and business.
The upriver community has put together a community web site that includes upcoming events, a discussion page, history pages and much more. Congrtualations on a lot of hard work.

Suleon Augustine has been named Bonar Law Turn Around Award Winner for the 2009 - 2010 school year. Suleon and his family were present at the Awards dinner at the Rodd Inn in Miramichi, Thursday, May 27th to receive his award. We are extremely proud of Suleon and his new found commitment to his own academic program and to the the life of the school. Well done Suleon!
James Simon, from Bonar Law Memorial School, was nominated and received the Raymond Légère Sportsmanship Award for the 2009/10 school year. He was selected from all the nominees from the Eastern Conference AA classification of schools. The award was presented to him at the NBIAA Sportsmanship Awards Banquet on May 19, 2010 in Fredericton. Congratulations James!
