Tahnee Simon and Whitney Dedam have been selected to attend the Eagle Spirit High Performance Camp at First People's House of MaGill University.  May 22 - 24, 2010.  They will be focusing on Health Careers and will be exposed to Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and the School of Nursing.  This promises to be a wonderful opportunity and we are confident that Tahnee and Whitney will make the most of this unique experience.

James Simon,  (Grade 12),  has been selected as one of the top four student athletes in the Western Conference of the NBIAA and will be receiving the "Ray Legere Sportsmanship Award" on May 19th at the Fifth Annual NBIAA Banquet in Fredericton. This award recognizes students who display outstanding sportsmanship towards their team-mates, coaches, opponents and game officials.  Congratulations to James!  It is good for all of us when we see Bengal Pride recognized at the provincial level.

Due to teachers meetings within School District 16 on Thursday and throughout the province on Friday, students will not have classes on either of those two days.    Regular classes resume on Monday, May 10th.

On Wednesday April 21st, Bonar Law Memorial School (under the direction of Mr. Adam Beers) hosted the District 16 English Oratory Competition.  We are delighted to advise you that the first place winner was our own Paige Hebert.  Second place was awarded to Katie Hamilton (NSER) with third going to Sarah Hayward of (JMH).  Best Impromptu was also awarded to Sarah Hayward.  Paige Hebert will now represent our school and our district at the Provincial Oratory Competition in Fredericton on May 14th.  We wish Paige all the best and we know that she will represent us admirably.

An evening of incredible musical talent here at BLMS! Please plan on coming out to our Bengal's Night Out happening April 29th, 30th and May 1st at 7:00pm in the BLMS Theatre.  Tickets are $5 adults, $3 for 12yrs and under. Call 523-7160 for tickets.  Dessert and Coffee will be sold at intermission. Please support our music program and our talented students by attending the 1st Bengal's Night Out!

All graduates must see Mrs. Leblanc in the library for their grad gown fitting.  A $10 rental fee is payable at time of fitting and will be reimbursed on graduation day.

Congratulations to all the students who participated in our 2010 BLMS Heritage Fair.  Thank you to Wayne Hebert, Joan Milliea, Mark and Rebecca Flanagan for their performances.  The winners were Vanessa Steinmann and Natasha Daigle.  The People's Choice was Calder Agnew.  The runners-up were Peter Hachey and Rebecca Flanagan.  The rest of the top ten were Calder Agnew, Morgan Murphy, Tiffany Babin, Riley Cail, Britney Gallant-Sock, Mackenzie Sock and Ricky-Lee Peter-Paul.  Thank you to Mrs. Warman, Mrs. Halas Moulton, Mrs. Gallivan, Mrs. Joseph, Mrs. Sock and Mrs.
