Dieppe Driving School is once again offering driver's education at Bonar Law Memorial School. Student's can register by seeing Mrs. Warman in Guidance. Online modules are given so students can prepare at home followed by a 5hr class on September 25th @ BLMS 10:00am-3:00pm. Payment options are available. I am happy to advise you that we are reducing the school fees that are payable for each student registered at BLMS. Effective and payable tomorrow ... fees will be $30.00 per student or $50.00 per family members, living in the same residence. This is a significant reduction from years past. Homeroom teachers will be collecting these funds until Sept 10th. Please remind your children to always get a receipt for any monies they pay to individuals at school (and in the broader community).
Bonar Law will be doing a fundraiser to help the Flood Relief in Pakistan. We will be selling green and white bracelets (the colour of the Pakistani flag) and selling them for a minimum donation of $3. We will donate the money raised to Global Medic who is over there providing drinking water and shelter for those displaced from their homes without water, food or shelter. Click here for a video highlighting the desperate need over there. http://www.cbc.ca/video/#/News/ID=1584338182
Looking forward to seeing the grade 9's and the Boomerang Crew on Tuesday, September 7th and everyone else the next day bright and early at 8:20. For all you back-to-school shoppers remember that clothes need to be school appropriate – this means no offensive slogans/logos or language. Please do not wear clothing which reveals your midriff, or your shoulders. Dresses, skirts and shorts should not be shorter than mid thigh.

Work began on Friday, July 16th on our new Track and Field facility which will include a new soccer pitch and outdoor basketball court. This is a real boost to the athletic program at BLMS as well as becoming a valuable asset to the broader community. We all anxiously await the day when the facility will be used by students during the day and be available to the public during the evenings.
