The boys got their first win of the season in Shediac last night 63-54.  The team struggled for 3 quarters on offence but their defence was enough to keep them in the game.  The offence came alive in the last part of the 4th quarter, and they pulled away to get the win.  Their next game is at home vs LJR on Wednesday night at 6:30pm.  Due to COVID restrictions we are still not allowed to have spectators in the gym.

The boys hosted JMA last night and came up a little short, losing 48-43.  The boys had a chance to win but 2 costly turnovers in the last couple minutes sealed the victory for JMA.  Kallum Fletcher scored 22 points for the Bengals, but Lance Sanipass had a good game as well.  The boys travel to Shediac on Monday to play LJR.

The boys played hard at JMA last night but lost 77-41.  The Bengals were able to keep the game close with some great defence for 2 quarters but need to be a bit more consistent with their offence.  Leading the way was Kallum Fletcher scoring 22 points.  Their next game is at home on Thursday against JMA.  Unfortunately no spectators are allowed in the gym due to the COVID resitrictions.

There will be an Alumni Game Friday, Mar. 29, starting at 7pm.  The JV Boys will be playing against past players as a fund raiser.  It will be a great night and the boys are hoping lots of people will come watch the game.  There will be a canteen and 50/50 draw and all proceeds will go towards the boys basketball program and the new uniforms that were purchased this past year.  Immediately following the current players & Alumni will then play against the Philippine team.

Any questions can be directed towards Rob Woodburn or Cheryl Warman.

The JV Boys game that was scheduled for Dec. 21 at Sugarloaf has been moved to Jan. 29, start time is at noon.  This is a turn-around/marking day but the buses are still running for the Middle & Elementary Schools.  The team bus will leave for Campbellton at 8am.  The boys need to bring snacks and water/gatorade for the trip as we will not have a lot of time to stop on the way up.  If you have any questions ask Mr. Woodburn or Mr. Bateman.
