The Boys & Girls Basetball Teams are looking for 3-4 scorekeepers for the season.  It is a great way to watch the games and be invovled with the teams.  It is also an activity that you can accumulate points towards your "B" at graduation.  Please contact Mr. Woodburn if interested.

Of course this could change over the season.

Congratulations to the Softball team for advancing to Provincials and playing last weekend in Saint John against Samuel de Champlain school.  The girls lost their game but had a great season and lots of fun.  Special thanks to Julia Stewart, Jason Glendenning & Margaret Perry for coaching.  Next season will be here soon!

The boys soccer team advanced to Provincials for the first time ever.  The boys advanced by beating the #1 team in the North (Roland Pepin) from Campbellton 2-1 in the "elimination game".  They then took on the #1 Team in the East (Peticodiac) and lost 3-0, but still advance to Provincials because it was a "seeding game".  They are playing Samuel de Champlain school in Saint John on Saturday, Nov. 6th, at 10am.  Congratulations to the BLMS boys and the 5 boys from MFR who also play on the team.

The boys played their last game of the season against Shediac on Sat morning and were eliminated from playoffs with a 15-0 loss.  Tanner Augustine took the mound for 2 innings with Logan Woodburn finishing the last 2 innings on the mound.  Kailen Hollingshead broke up the LJR no-hitter with an infield hit in the 4th inning and Tanner also added a hit but they were unable to get home.

On Monday, Sept. 20, the BLMS Softball team played their first game of the season vs MVHS, and picked up an exciting win.  The game was called after 4 innings due to not enough light.  The girls scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th to take a 2 run lead and the win.  The girls were very supportive of each other and had lots of fun, with Chenille Augustine pitching the whole game.  The next game is Wed, Sept. 29, at 5pm at the Rexton Ball Field.  Come out to cheer on the girls.  All spectators need to stay along the fence of the outfield and cannot use the bleachers due to COVID.

The boys played their first game Saturday morning and came up short with a 12-2 loss to CC.  The boys stayed in the game with the score 0-0 after 3 innings, but CC opened up the scoring in the 4th and were leading 6-2 after 5 innings.  Kailen Hollingshead was the starting pitcher for the Bengals then Odin Sanipass took over the mound.  Tanner Augustine and Odin Sanipass went 2 for 3 hitting, while Logan Woodburn and Roan Fillmore also got on base with a hit each.  The boys are hoping to turn things around against LJR Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 5:30pm at the Rexton ballfield.
