Today in class we brainstormed ways to promote and maintain mental health.

If you missed period 4 or 5 your homework is attached. Today we discussed balancing school and our home life. We examined how we could be successful in school and still do the things we enjoy. The classwork/homework gives you an opportunity to see how much time you dedicate to certain activies. There are a 168 hours in a week!

Today we talked about Coping Skills including Anger Management.  We identified how we currently cope with stress and what we can do differently.

Today we talked about Problem Solving in a variety of Social Situations. Students also worked in groups and completed an activity using Problem Solving techniques learned in class.

Today we talked about Support Systems and how they help your mental health. I also collected your Leisure Activity Project.

On October 4th and 5th we talked about Mental Health, including the difference between stress and anxiety. 

 

 

On October 2 and 3 discussed Diversity, using the statistics from the 100 People: A World Portrait website.
