Grade 12 Homework

Hello again.  I am very concerned that some of you are not keeping up with your reading.  You should ALL have read up to pg. 306 (the end of 1982) in TMKD. For Monday, November 16, you need to be finished section 1988 (up to pg.359.)  I can guarantee you that there will be a quiz on these chapters. The end of the novel is fast approaching.  You will soon be having a unit test, so...get going!!!!   Today you received a handout on an MLA essay that is due on November 23rd. (See attached sheet below.)

Grade 11 Homework

Your power point presentations are starting tomorrow!   You should start studying your notes on the Middle English period so you are not surprised when a test is scheduled.   You can also start to read "Canterbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer.

Grade 10 Homework

You had a short story which was due October 31st.  You had the choice to write on any topic, or to use Halloween as the theme.  *Paragraphing and  sentence structure were what you were being marked on.  No fragments, or run-ons!

Grade 11 Homework

Period 5 Class- Your short stories were due today!  The setting was medieval times, and you needed to refer to at least 2 other persons, places, things, or events during that time period. Length: 1-2 pages.   All grade 11 English students are to be working on a power point presentation (on a Middle English poet) which is to be presented to the class.  Students are working in groups of 4 and have Tues., Wednes., and Thurs. of this week to work on it during class time.  Presentations are scheduled for November 10, 12 & 13th.

Grade 12 Homework

You were to be finished reading 1977 by Monday, and had a quiz scheduled for today.  Since I was out sick, your quiz is postponed until tomorrow.  You were given an essay today in class.  What motivates Dr. David Henry to give away his daughter at birth?  Are his motivations justified?  The good copy is due Wednesday-300-400 words. Remember, you can always read ahead...
