Ron Smyth Scholarship - Outstanding Community Leadership

Ron Smyth Memorial Scholarships

The Ron Smyth Memorial Scholarships for Outstanding Community Leadership are open to candidates attending any Canadian post-secondary institution and living within the boundaries of Westmorland, Albert & Kent counties. Students must be commencing or continuing full time post-secondary studies in the 2016/2017 school year. There will be 15 Scholarships valued at $1500 each.  Scholarships are awarded based on community and peer leadership with priorities given to students attending NBCC Moncton and Zone 5 Hockey officials or their families.

Dialoque NB Scholarship

IWK is offering a new scholarship to Maritime students.  Must be in Grade 12, plan to attend a Maritime post-secondary institution (college or university) in a field that will enhance health research and/or innovation.  Please see attached details on requirements to apply and application.

Saint Mary’s University will be hosting a very important information session on Tuesday, November 17th at the Crowne Plaza in Moncton starting at 7:00pm for any interested Grade 12 students and their parents. The Canadian Coast guard College is celebrating its 50th anniversaryand cordially invites students and staff to an OPEN HOUSE Friday November 20th, 2015Between10:00 and 15:00 This is a great opportunity for guidance counsellors, teachers and students to learn about the Canadian Coast Guard College and its programs.  As the national training facility for the Canadian Coast Guard, the College is a leader in marine training.  We welcome you to attend visit us on November 20th to learn more about our exciting education/career opportunities.  Visitors will also have the opportunity to chat with Officer Cadets (current students), faculty and staff as well as tour the campus, visit classes and experience our world-class simulators.   We can accommodate small or large groups.  To ensure we meet your needs, please confirm your attendance as soon as possible at CCGCregistrar@dfo-mpo.gc.ca  along with the approximate number of attendees and time of arrival. The open house will take place at the Canadian Coast Guard College, at the address indicated below:1190 Westmount Road, Sydney Nova Scotia  B1R 2J6 The tour will begin in the gymnasium where there will be a Recruitment Kiosk for the CGC Officer Training Program. Special highlights of the Open House will be the Navigation and Engine Room Simulators, MCTS Traffic Simulator, Machine Shop and MCTS Sydney Radio Station (subject to operational requirements).  Additional details of the tour will be provided once finalized.   .
