Century 21 A&T Countryside Realty Inc. plans to sponsor one $500 scholarship to a deserving High School graduate who is going onto post-secondary education in any field in the fall.

The student efforts should have made a positive impact or change on their school or community while overcoming personal challenges. We are looking for that special individual who has overcome diversity to make a difference.

 Please email their name, and a brief explanation as to why they should be considered, to:

 A selection committee will review each applicant and the winner will be selected and the school informed by May 1st.

Qualifications: To qualify, you must be graduating from Grade 12, and enrolling in a post-secondary program at a recognized college, private institution, or university in a business-related field. This award is not necessarily about good marks! It’s about an individual who makes an effort every day!

 General Requirements of Eligibility:

1. The Applicant (or parent/guardian) must have an active SouthEastern Mutual home, tenant, farm or commercial policy.                  

2. The Applicant must completed the application form.                                                  

3. The Applicant must provide a current transcript from the school, college or university attended in the past year (if the Applicant is a mature student please note such on the application).  A minimum average of 70% is required.                                                      

4. The Applicant must show proof of acceptance or enrolment as a full time student at a post-secondary educational institution (college oruniversity).                                                

5. The Applicant may choose to submit a 30-60 second video or audio recording on the choice of two topics:  Southeastern Mutual - present day company or the history of Southeastern Mutual (photos used must not be copyright protected).                                  

6. The Applicant must provide a recent colour photo, with their application, to Southeastern Mutual for possible publication.             

7. The Applicant must not have received any scholarship monies from Southeastern Mutual Insurance prior to this submission (Applicants may receive only one scholarship from Southeastern Mutual).                                                                               

8. The Applicant must return the application form no later than 4:30 pm on May 15th to:

ELIGIBILITY
• Current resident of NB, NS or NFLD.
• Current Secondary Student (or has graduated within the past 12 months).
• Accepted and entering a Canadian College or University in the 2018/19 academic year.
• Proof of acceptance to at least one Canadian College or University. This does not have to be from
the College/University you plan to attend. If you are selected as the scholarship recipient, we will
confirm where you will be attending at that time.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated leadership and a strong commitment to his/her community through initiating
innovative community projects and/or volunteerism.
• Letter of recommendation from your current school, written and signed by principal, teacher or
guidance counsellor (no electronic signatures).
• Letter of recommendation from community group or individual(s) that you supported (no
electronic signatures). If your community project was affiliated with your school, it is acceptable to have
two letters of recommendation from your school.
• Official Transcripts (most recent).

Note the deadline is June 30, 2018.

The New Brunswick Public Colleges Entrance Scholarship is available for this academic year 2018-2019 for students who would like to attend the New Brunswick Community College, the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design or the Collègecommunautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick. 

 

 Students can now apply by completing the fillable form (attached and on our website). They have to submit their application (paper format) to your high school Guidance Office by May 27 for their review.
