The reading portion of the ELPA is Tuesday, March 16th. Students will be writing periods 1 and 2. To finish the week we will be starting the novel "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas".

This week we are continuing our unit on Mesopotamia. Students will be having a quiz on Friday. Review will be given on Thursday. Homework: Questions 1 to 10 for Thursday!
Students are finishing up their poetry unit. They are going to begin working on their poetry projects tomorrow (see attachments). Come to class with required project materials. Here are some important dates to remember: Thursday, Feb. 18th - Quiz on Poetry forms Wednesday, Feb. 24th - Review for Poetry unit test Thursday, Feb. 25th - Poetry unit test Monday, Mar. 8th - Poetry projects due  Don't forget about your "Book in a... Hello all! We are just finishing our poetry unit. Students are working on poetry projects (see attachments) Here are some important dates to remember: Wednesday,Feb. 17th - Quiz on poetry forms Friday, Feb. 19th - Vocab quiz Wednesday, Feb. 24th - Review for Poetry unit test Thursday, Feb. 25th - Poetry unit test Friday, Feb. 26th - Poetry projects due Remember to bring project materials like pencil crayons and markers to class with you.
Boujour! We are wrapping up our unit on "La prehistoire". Students are working on a project (see attachment) and will be having their unit test. Important dates: Thursday, Feb. 18th - Review for quiz on "la periode Neolithique" Friday, Feb. 19th - Quiz - La periode Neolithique Thursday, Feb. 25th - Review for unit test "La Prehistoire" Friday, Feb. 26th - Unit test "La Prehistoire" Friday, Feb. 26th or Monday, Mar. 8th - Due date for unit project They need to show me their project plan (see attachment) before they begin the actual project. This is due tomorrow, Feb. 17th. Students will be given class time to work on their projects and ask for help. They need to bring all project materials to class from now unitl March Break. Suggested materials: bristol board, markers, stencils, pencil crayons, rulers, pencils...   ****Review for unit test is attached!

This week we have continued working on our poetry unit. Next week we will be finishing our notes on poetry forms and terminology and you will be starting your poetry projects. Come to class prepared. You will be given lots of class time to work on the projects. Project details will be discussed next week and then be posted on the website. Due date to be announced. Bring pencil crayons, rulers, and anything else you need in order to be creative! We will have a quiz on poetry forms on Wednesday, Feb. 17th. Poetry unit test will be the week before March break, either Feb. 25th or 26th.   Vocabulary list will be given out tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 12th. Vocabulary Quiz will be Friday, Feb. 19th ***Don't forget about your "Book in a... Project". Get a head start!***

Bonjour! This week we have been studying "Les periodes Paleolithiqe et Neolithique" in our Prehistory unit. On Monday, Feb. 15th you have a quiz on "La periode Paleolithique". Etudiez!   Next week you will be starting your unit projects. More details to come. Our unit test will be the week before March break, either Feb. 25th or 26th.

FI Histoire Ancienne - Period 4 Extra help is offered on Monday and Friday every week. It is your responsibilty to catch up with notes and other class work if you have missed time. We started with an introdution to history. Our first unit will be "Le Préhistoire".

English 11 - Period 3 Extra help is offered on Monday and Friday every week. It is your responsibility to catch up with notes and other class work if you have missed time. Throughout the semester there will be vocabulary lists. The list will be given on Mondays and students will write the vocabulary quizzes on Fridays. We are looking at Poetry for the next few weeks. We will study poetry terminology, figures of speech, and certain poetry forms. Students will also be writing their own poetry.
