St. Mary's will be hosting a Money Matters Information Session on Tuesday, February 5th from 7:00-8:30pm at the Rodd Miramichi River for all parents and students whom may be interested.  This is a great event and provides very relevant information about financing a university degree.
The Dalhousie Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) is hosting their annual Computer Science Day for high school students contemplating a degree in computer science or informatics on Saturday, February 9, 2013. This event is part of the Canadian Computer Education month (www.cancomped.ca).  This event is an excellent chance for students to experience firsthand what a degree in this field could mean for them. Students will attend their choice of two workshops from: autonomous robots, web application security, graphic game design and hacking the Kinect. The workshops are fun and highlight the opportunities and specializations offered within our degree programs. Your students will also have a chance to meet and hear from current students and FCS alumni.  Students wishing to attend are encouraged to bring friends, parents and teachers. All will receive a free lunch and a tour of our campus here at Dal. All students will be entered to win draws for multiple prizes. Registration (cs.dal.ca/csday) is necessary and it's encouraged that they register as soon as possible so they can get in the sessions of their choice.
