The selection process starts as of November 1 of each year. Complete applications will be considered as they are received as long as the candidate meets or is in the process of meeting the admission requirements. They process applications on a first-qualified, first-accepted basis. For administrative purposes, complete applications received on or before November 1 will be dated as of November 1. So the earlier you get your applications in, the better it is to improve your chances of admission.    
Each summer, the SMU writing centre offers graduating high school students an introduction to post-secondary academic skills.  Over two days (Aug. 15 and 16), the SMU Summer Writing Workshop presents students with insight into university-level writing and critical thinking.  The workshop is open to all students, not only those attending Saint Mary's.  Specific workshops include: -Thesis development -Critical thinking -Editing and proofreading -Citation and plagarism avoidance -Basic to advanced grammar -Exam preparation -Class note taking and listening skills   Total cost is $175.00 without residence and $205.00 with residence, including taxes, meals and all materials.  If interested please see Mrs. Pitre in Guidance for an application.

Mount Allison will be hosting an Open House on Friday, March 8 from 9:30 am - 4:15 pm to help you discover if Mount A is the right fit for you.  Experience Mount Allison for the first time, or visit again to learn all about academics, residence life, travel opportunities and more! There are great Mount A prizes to be won.  Register at www.mta.ca/openhouse.

On Friday, March 8th, Acadia University will be hosting its annual Experience Acadia Day!  The event will take place on the Acadia University campus from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.  Students and their families will have the opportunity to have many of their questions answered and get a feel for life at Acadia.  This is your opportunity to register for courses, meet your new professors, explore program choices and career options, connect with Acadia students, and tour the residences.  Students who wish to bring their transcript there will be free on-the-spot admissions.  Register online at studentevents.acadiau.ca.
