9 Social Studies - Finish questions on Chapter 9 if you did not finish in class.   10 History - Finish the following questions from the text if you did finish them in class:   Page 159 - 1, 2 and 3

Media Studies - Students are working on their final project (creating an ad campaign)  this is a huge project and students  will be working on it for the next 7 classes.  They will be presenting on the 20th and must be here.  This will be their final exam mark.  Students must be here as they are working in a group.   Business 120 - We are finishing up with chapter 13 today and tomorrow.  Students will have a QUIZ tomorrow.  Wednesday we will be welcoming a guest speaker into our class from the Credit Union.  For the rest of the week we will be learnig about credit.    Grade 9 Social Studies - We are looking at the Cold War, NATO and NORAD and the UN this week.  We are moving along quickly and students NEED to be here to stay caught up.  Students who are not in class for the lectures will likely have difficulty with the information.    Grade 10 History - We have a lot going on this week in class.  We will finish up with Greece by looking at Greek government and culture.  Students will be doing an indepedent study on Greek culture/society on Wednesday and must be present.  On Thursday and Friday this week we will be teaming up with the other grade 10 History class to do a workshop that will prepare us for the exam.  Students MUST be here!!
Media Studies 120 - We are looking at the history of advertising and the 8 stages.  Tomorrow we will be attending a presentation on Immigration.  Monday we will be starting the large end of semester project.   Business, Organization and Management 120 - We are moving on into Chapter 13 learning important information that will help us in the future.  I am talking to the students about savings and investments.  I will be introducing them to various savings and investment plans.  They will be working together a lot in class and need to be here for the notes and instruction.   9 Social Studies - We studied WII, and Canadian involvement overseas, at lenght before the Christmas break.  Now we will be exploring the impact that WWII had on the Canadian homefront at the time and how that impact has shaped our country into the future.  Students will be tested heavily about this on the coming exam and MUST be present for instruction.    10 History - Before the break we finished with the Persian Wars of ancient Greece.  We are now on to studying about the Classical Period or the Golden Age of Greece.  We will also be taking a look at Alexander the Great and the Hellenistic Period on Friday.  We are really picking up pace in order to get through Greece by the exam.  Students NEED to be here in order to keep up to speed.   I hope you all enjoyed your holidays and have a wonderful/successful 2010 :)

Students of BOM 120 do not forget about the class debate being held tomorrow.  You need to have your pro and anti labor union debate statements ready.  Do forget to think about possible rebuttals!  Remember that if you are not here you will be receiving a 0, unless you have a doctors note.  DON'T LET YOUR TEAM MEMBERS DOWN!

MS 120 - This week we are working on a project/presentation titled "The Greatest Film of All Times".  You will find the explanation attached. BOM 120 - We are moving on to chapter 5 which fouces on Organized Labor in Canada.  This chapters calls for a lot of explanation and class discussions so it is very important for students to be present in class. 9 SS - We will be wrapping up chapter 6 on the 20s and 30s.  The unit test will be on Wednesay, the 2nd, and we will move on to discuss chapter 7 regarding Canada and the World Wars.  Students must have their chapter project handed in by Friday.  You will find the assignment attached. 10 History - We are finsihing with the Unit of Egypt with a unit test on Wednesday, the 2nd.  Students are also finishing with the unit project (attached), due Friday.

Media Studies 120 - We will be looking at the history of Movie Posters, as well their general format.  We will be studying how to make a film poster effective and attractive.  Students will create their own.    Business, Organization and Management 120 - We will be studying Chapter 4 this week, which talks about the major functions of businesses.  Students will be given the notes and have two related assignments to complete.  The notes and assignments are attached.   Social Studies 9 - We will continue on with our study of the 20s and 30s in Canada.  This week we will focus largely on the Great Depression.  Students NEED to be here for the discussion and explanation of this topic; there is a lot of information to take in.  We will also begin talking about the Chapter project which will be done in the form of a Comic Strip.  History 10 - We are continuing on in the Egypt unit.  This week will be focusing the Middle and New Kingdoms of Egypt.  Students will be taking notes, answering questions and completing in class assignments.  Students NEED to be here for the discussions and explanations of the topics.
