Game @ Minto

The boys travelled to Minto last night and beat the Tigers 64-43.  Lead by Dalton Thompson's five 3 pointers and 19 points, the Bengals never trailed.  Other top scorers were David Mazerolle with 17 points and Tyler Young with 10 points.  Kyle Jones had his first basket of the season in a winning effort.The boys travel to MFR to play tonight at 5:30pm, and are hoping a lot of Bengal support will be in the stands.

Nov. 23 Practice cancelled

The boys basketball practice scheduled for 5-6:30pm, on Nov. 23rd is cancelled due to weather.

Game vs Tantramar

The boys played a hard fought game against Tantramar on Nov. 22, and fell short losing 65-48.  Leading the way for the Bengals was Corey Lawson 14 points & David Mazerolle 11 points.  Dalton Thompson had a huge defensive game inside getting lots of rebounds.The boys travel to Minto on Mon, Nov. 28th to play an exhibition game and then it's their rival MFR Tue, Nov. 29th.

Boys Game @ JMA Armstrong

The boys basketball team traveled to JMA and pulled out a great win.  The win was Mr. Woodburn's first in the JMA gym and he was extremely proud of the way the boys played.  The final score was 58-36, with the boys holding the JMA team to only 13 points at the half.  Leading the way scoring was David Mazerolle - 16pts, Dalton Thompson - 13pts, Tyler Young - 12pts & Corey Lawson - 11pts.  Will McNaughton only had 2pts, but was a huge factor in the paint stopping everything inside.  Andy Lui scored his first points as a Bengal in the 4th quarter.  Congratulations boys!!  Their next game will be at home vs Tantramar.

2011-2012 Season is Underway

The team has been set and practices have been ongoing for the up-coming season.  The boys have high expectations this year even though they are in a tougher division than last year.  First game of the season is away at JMA.  Keep an eye out for practice and game schedules on the "Athletic" calendar.Practice for Sat, Nov. 12th at 1pm has been moved to Sun, Nov. 13th at 3pm.

Exhibition Game at MVHS

The boys travelled to MVHS to play the JV boys team.  Again the bench got to see a lot of floor time, which helped them work on their basketball skills.  The Bengals defeated the JV Pulamoos 69-46, never giving up the lead from the tip off to till the end.Twelve Bengals were able to get onto the scoresheet and contribute to the team's win.  Leading the way with 14 points was Dalton Thompson, Evan Grant & Lance Augustine each netted 11 points and Wade Beers & Ian Scully scored their first high school basketball points!The boys will take on the JMA Cougars at home tomorrow night at 5:30, so come out and support the team.

Friends of the Bengals Tournament

That time is rolling around again and the boys basketball team will be hosting teams from JMA, Leo Hayes, Carlton North, Blackville & Caledonia on December 18 & 19th for their annual tournament.  There will be a canteen, 50/50 draws & lots of basketball action.  Cost is only $2 per game or $10 for a tournament pass (9 games).  The boys would like to see you at the games and cheer them on as they try to repeat last years performance and win it all again.  See below for a schedule of the two days. Up dates for Dec. 9-17th

The Wednesday, Dec. 9, game @ Caledonia has been bumped to Jan. 11th due to weather.The Friday, Dec. 11 game MFR @ BLMS has been postponed & will be played at a later date.The boys will be playing at home against Peticodiac this Saturday, Dec. 12, @ noon.  The girls will play Peticodiac at 2pm.
