Friends of the Bengals Tournament

The Friends of the Bengals Tournament went off without a hitch and the boys were able to take 2nd place, only losing to Fundy High (2012 Champions).  Game MVP's for the Begnals were Will McNaughton, Corey Lawson & Tyler Young.  The Bengals saved their best game for last coming from 18 points behind the MVHS Pulamoo at the half to beat them by 4!  The boys pressed their way back into the game holding the Pulamoo to only 11 points in the 2nd half.  I want to thank Mike McNaughton, James Mundle, Wendy Lawson & all the parents for all their help and support over the past 2 days.  Their efforts made for a great tournament.  The boys have a practice Monday 3:30-5pm and travel to LJR Tuesday to play at 5:30pm.

Game vs MFR

The Bengals came out a little flat to start the game but got their feet under them and poured in 75 points to beat MFR 75-42.  Leading the way again was Francis LeBlanc with 21 points, Tyler Young 13 points & Dalton Thompson 10 points.  The boys don't have anymore games until their Annual Tournament on Jan. 6 & 7.  See attached schedule and come support the boys as they try to beat the competition.The boys will have practices Jan. 4, from 3-5pm & Jan. 5, from 6-8pm.  They will also be setting up the gym for their tournament after the Jan. 5 practice.

Game vs Minto Cancelled

The game scheduled for Mon, Dec. 19th has been cancelled.  The boys will practice instead on Monday, Dec. 19 from 3:30-5pm.

Game @ Tantramar

The boys played a great game last night in Sackville and were leading the Titans at the half by 3 points.  As the Bengal defence slowed the Titans were able to chip away at the lead and won the game 54-33.  Francis LeBlanc has found his place on the roster as the shooting gaurd.  He was a starter again last night and played a great game, leading the team with 10 points.  The boys will play Sugarloaf Saturday at 3pm.

Home game vs Dalhousie

The boys fought hard but fell short to Dalhousie, losing 83-67.  Francis LeBlanc had an outstanding night leading all scorers with 29 points!  The boys play at Tantramar next Tuesday and then travel to Miramichi to play an exhibition game against the MVHS Pulamoo Wednesday.

Boys Practice moved

The Boys Basketball practice that was scheduled for Wed, Dec. 7, has been moved to Friday, Dec. 9, from 3:30-5pm.  The boys will play Dalhousie Sat, Dec. 10, at 1pm.

Home game vs JMA

The boys started slow but came out gunning in the 3rd quarter as they beat the JMA Cougars last night 54-33.  Leading the way was Dalton Thompson with 14 points and Tyler Young with 12 points.  Corey Lawson went down with a wrist injury and Brad Arsenault stepped up big and played some huge minutes.  A great win for the Bengals.Their next game is at home Saturday, Dec. 10th, at 1pm.  Come out and see the boys play Dalhousie.

Game vs Caledonia Cancelled

The game vs Caledonia scheduled for Fri, Dec. 9th has been cancelled.  I am hoping to reschedule it to another date and will let you know if that happens.

Game @ MFR

The boys went to MFR and came away with a big win last night, with a final score of 84-63.  The Bangals were led by Corey Lawson with 21 points, Tyler Young 17 points & Dalton Thompson 12 points.  Will McNaughton played a great game and had a career high 10 points.The boys next game is at home Monday, Dec. 5th against Peticodiac.  Come out and watch the boys play.

Fundy Tournament cancelled

The Fundy Tournament was cancelled due to other teams backing out at the last minute.  Instead the boys will practice Friday afternoon from 3:30-5pm.
