Tickets are now on sale for the 2013 Christmas production at BLMS . This year, BLMS  drama and Bengal Voices are combining forces to present: "Rented Christmas: The Musical"                            After years without celebrating Christmas, the town's wealthiest man decides to try to experience the joy and fellowship of Christmas by renting one. What happens when a man rents a tree, gifts, decorations, carolers, and even goes as far as to rent a wife and kids? This Christmas, one man will get more than he bargained for and discover what makes Christmas so special for us all. Join us for an evening of Christmas joy with this family-friendly musical on December 11th, 12th  and 13th - 7pm  in the BLMS theatre. There will also be a special 2pm  matinee show on Saturday, December 14th. Tickets are 8$ for adults, and 5$ for students and children. Tickets can be obtained by calling the school office at 523-7160. We expect tickets to sell quickly, but unsold tickets will be available for purchase at the door. A canteen will be available at intermission time. Please forward this email to any friends, family or contacts you think may be interested in joining us for this very special event. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at this email, or to contact me by calling the school. We hope to see everyone there! Laura Ketch BLMS

Improv try-outs are taking place for the next 2 weeks Thursdays at lunch (12:30 - 1:05) in the theatre.  This year's selection process will be a little different, as a house team will be selected from the initial try-out group.  From the house team will be chosen a competitive team to be announced at a later date.   To be considered for either the house team or the competitive team, you must be present at at least one try-out.   The more you make it out to, the better chance you have!   Have fun, and remember to join the improv revolution.                                       XD

Due to a larger turnout than expected, auditions will take place on the scheduled date (October 20th), but will be extended until 5pm.    If you are auditionning, please plan to stay after school from 330 until 5pm.  Don't plan to leave after your own audition since you never know when yours will be scheduled.  We cannot honor everyone's request to audition first so they can go home quickly.  Instead, plan to stay until the end to support and encourage your fellow actors!   Best of luck!  If you'd like more information about the audition process, check out the other notes on this page.

There will be a quick drama meeting on Wednesday at Lunch (12:05) in the theatre for anyone interested in auditionning for our Christmas play (Baddest Angel Band).  Auditions will take place Tuesday, October 20th, from 330 - 430 in the theatre.   You will need to pick up an audition monologue from Mrs. Ketch or Miss. Gallivan in order to prepare in advance. The directors will be looking for 3 characteristics during your audition:                        -  Voice projection  (loud, clear, articulation...)                        -  Memorization  (did you have your script memorized?)                        -  Characterization (what traits have you given the character you are portraying?)   Best of luck to anyone auditionning.  We look forward to working with you.   Anyone interested in participating as a crew member (lights, sound, makeup, costumes, set painting...), please see Mrs. Ketch or Miss. Gallivan to submit your names for consideration.
