REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY

Posted: November 10, 2009

The theatre was filled with students at four different times today as each grade level gathered to honor the men and women who serve our country to ensure our rights and freedoms.  Mrs. Halas Moulton and Ms. Gallivan - with the help of many students -  led the grades through a poignant tribute to the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives so that we can live in this peace filled democracy we call home.  Through, song, poetry and symbolism BLMS students re-enacted the traditional remembrance day ceremony, ending with a moving rendition of  The Last Post by Carolyn Simon.  We encourage students and their families to find time on November 11th to take part in their local community celebrations.
