JEDI (Joint Economic Development Initiative) Bursary

For the past 7 years JEDI and Brun-Way Highway Operations have collaborated to provide two bursaries for Aboriginal students enrolled in post-secondary education. The bursaries are intended to help support Aboriginal students in reaching their academic goals and future success.

To be eligible:

  • You must be a full-time Aboriginal student,
  • Reside in New Brunswick,
  • Provide proof of post-secondary institution enrollment - preference may be given to those enrolled in a University Degree program due to the depth of commitment and expense involved,
  • Provide a copy of an up-to-date resume,
  • Applicants must write a 500-1000 word essay that expresses:
    • financial need,
    • objectives,
    • future goals and aspirations,
    • commitment to education,
    • volunteer experience,
    • desire to help NB First Nations’ communities thrive.
