Grad 2020

Posted: May 30, 2020

Now that we are in the yellow phase of the NB recovery plan, and because our plan for graduation has been approved, we are excited to share it with you today! Our plan was generated with the goal of providing our 2020 graduates with an experience as close to our traditional graduation ceremony as possible. We believe that they deserve to walk the stage, in cap and gown, have family/friends cheering for them in the audience, have their photo taken, and receive their diplomas.

With that in mind, we will be hosting seven (7) small ceremonies on graduation day, June 20th, 2020. Our ceremonies will begin at 10 am and run throughout the day. Graduates will be invited into the gym, 10 at a time, and they will receive three (3) invitations each. We will be generating a guest list for each ceremony that corresponds with each graduate and their invitees. Only those named on the guest list will be permitted entrance. All provincial health guidelines around social distancing will be respected. The number of graduates, their guests, photo and sound people, and teachers, will not exceed 50. The ceremonies will last approximately 30 minutes each. Graduates will hear video speeches, and be presented their diplomas and awards on stage, as usual. Our ceremonies will be spaced out approximately 45 minutes apart to allow for cleaning time in between.

Details about exact timing for your particular ceremony, and how to collect invitations, will be released soon. We are pleased to be able to offer this experience to our graduates and their families during these unusual times; we look forward to seeing you all!

Yours, Ms. Davis and Ms. Gallivan
