This event is part of the Canadian Computer Education month (www.cancomped.ca).  This event is an excellent chance for students to experience firsthand what a degree in this field could mean for them. Students will attend their choice of two workshops from: autonomous robots, web application security, graphic game design and hacking the Kinect. The workshops are fun and highlight the opportunities and specializations offered within our degree programs. Your students will also have a chance to meet and hear from current students and FCS alumni.  Students wishing to attend are encouraged to bring friends, parents and teachers. All will receive a free lunch and a tour of our campus here at Dal. All students will be entered to win draws for multiple prizes. Registration (cs.dal.ca/csday) is necessary and it's encouraged that they register as soon as possible so they can get in the sessions of their choice.

Forum for Young Canadians

Last year BLMS had two Grade 11 students attend the Forum for Young Canadians in Ottawa.  This proved to be a great opportunity and experience for these students.  We are currently looking for other potencial students to attend again this year.  For those who are interested please write a one page essay on your school and or community involvment and why you feel you would be a good candidate to represent your school.  Please return these essays to Mrs. Pitre in Guidance by November 30/12.
